y proposing a clear, precise and accessible ethical contract at all times, Newttle takes part in the current anatomy of national and European policies (Article 8 in the European Union Charter of Fundamental Rights) on protecting against personal data misuse, and the “right to be forgotten,” in line with implementing the RGPD since May 25th, 2018, the DATA ACT since June 27th, 2023. The French Computing and Freedom law N° 78-17, in effect since January 6, 1978, states: “Computer Technology must be at the service of every citizen. It must not interfere with human identity, human rights, privacy, or individual or public liberties.” Newttle will also enable states to regain their long-lost digital sovereignty.
* The only viable solution to remedy the misuse of personal data is Newttle’s ‘business model’, a subscription fee of €3/month, commitment-free and cancellable at any time. For us, user interest is more important than the escalation of financial revenue.
* We will never use algorithms to provide you with targeteds, personalizeds contents.
In order to ensure transparency in our community, and at our request, we will undergo an inspection once a year, that is an external audit by authorised organisations (CNIL) in order to obtain a ‘digital certification of good practices’. The report will be posted and e-mailed to each member. This must become the norm!
Account closure (personal data) shall be possible within 24h without data archiving (in accordance with the legislation in force). An official acknowledgment shall be sent as proof to the user.
We will incorporate the best protection system (In connection with the ANSSI). Sharing with ‘third party applications’ will not be possible, as well as product placement (commercial influencers). They pose a problem by violating our privacy. End-to-end encryption will not be possible, in order to be able to truly moderate content and identify its authors.
* A heightened surveillance of published content will be effectuated by integrating in addition a “citizens’ watch” (using the ‘hot line’ button to signal an abuse, hateful content, an attempt at harassment, sextape, revenge-porn, etc.), with immediate termination of the perpetrator’s account and IP address blocking, as well as transparency towards the judiciary where appropriate. We will actively combat Deepfakes and Fake News (according to a study by the IPSOS institute (11/2023), 52% of 16-19 year-olds use Instagram daily for news, 47% TikTok and 44% Youtube) . Surveillance will be heightened on youth accounts under 18 years in accordance with current legislation (Registration from the age of 15) and parental consent, in order to truly protect our children so they can trade with each other in complete safety and confidence. No anonymous accounts will be possible (they encourage cyberbullying, child sexual abuse and violence against women). We will have active moderation carried out by our members! All this is contradictory to the current passivity of other social networks.
* We will encourage minimal usage of Newttle, in order to prevent our children from developing dependency and excessive screen exposure.
As a regulator, Newttle arises as the solution to the major problem of personal data use and moderate contents in social networking.
* By promoting a participative spirit, we will give members the opportunity to make Newttle their own. We will take their opinions, requests, and suggestions in order to evaluate and evolve the social network. This option will allow us to focus on their needs, with much better targeting of solutions and progress. Newttle is the first social network that belongs to its users!
User content will be totally private by default, leaving it up to the user to manage the acces of other users, and delete content without any time limits. We will have the possibility for users to create several groups, independent of each other. Thus, different profiles will also be possible. We also see Newttle’s interest in companies (videoconference).
Newttle’s interface and options will be the same for each member.
Our external partners (Data, moderator, etc.) and financiers, will be chosen in line with our charter, our values and an ethic, in cohesion with Newttle and based in France and Europe, partially justifying the price of the subscription. Of course, the ultimate goal is to have our own logistics.
* Newttle will pay taxes in the country where it will make a profit (tax evasion 2022: $1,000 billion).
* Impact company, each year part of the contribution will be donated to support various causes (ecological, medical, social, Focus 2030, etc.) of your choosing and encouraging community self-help. All in line with the UN‘s sustainable development goals. We share our profits, not your personal data!
